craigslist hates monster as much as everyone else

Craigslist’s brand new blog takes a few amusing potshots at rival Monster.com in a post entitled, “Monster getting desperate?

On several occasions over the last month, a large, tacky Monster.com truck has parked in front of our SF office, and proceeded to blast loud music, to the point where our front offices were rendered unfit for working.

They actually highlight the driver’s specific instructions from Monster’s inept management, saying “If you can get a picture of the truck parked in front of the Craigslist address, that would be great.”

The S.F. hippies aren’t even above bashing their competition with a final word citing some (frankly, crappy) data showing their leg-up, receiving “more employment-related traffic than all of Monster.com.”

I love it!

Thank you for the free press. This recruiting market isn’t that complicated, I’ve already figured it all out.

    3 Questions….
    1) What exactly was this little Panama-Noriega prank worth to Monster?
    2) Did Craigslist employees find Monster whoppee cushions on their seats the next morning? 3) Which one of the 3 Stooges does Monster resemble most?
