arbita set to acquire appendant marketing group

April 12th, 2008

Arbita, a Minneapolis-based organization that covers a variety of media and technology solutions for its clients and partners, is set to purchase Indianapolis-based Appendant Marketing Group, which specializes in recruitment advertising.

Don Ramer, Arbita CEO and founder (and one of our favorite people), says:

Working with Appendant will provide real benefit to our customers. Messages that personally invite jobseekers to review a company’s openings represent recruitment best practices. This, along with smart-targeted recruiting portals, will allow the right candidates to see the right jobs.

The asset purchase will close on or before June 30, 2008. Per the agreement, key personnel from Appendant will join Arbita in management roles. Brandon Corbin will join Arbita as director of marketing following closing of the asset purchase.

Additionally, Mark Anderson will serve as Arbita’s VP of sales on an interim basis effective immediately, and will continue in that role when the asset purchase is completed. No word if anyone at this Indy Co. is a Ball State grad, but it’d be a whole lot cooler if they were.

Two core offerings in the purchase include RecruitCard, a direct mail recruiting solution, and Recruital, which basically creates customized landing pages for employers. Here’s an example.

According to a company release, “This asset purchase expands Arbita’s offerings to include easily launched targeted print and web marketing solutions that are not reliant on the use of job posting or applicant tracking technology. Customized invitations combined with easily accessible landing pages will jump-start recruitment efforts.”

  1. Brandon Corbin Says:

    1. My sister attended Ball State.
    2. I competed in a editorial cartoon journalism competition held at Ball State.
    3. I saw David Copperfield in a Ball State auditorium.
    4. My Brother-In-Law used to be the DJ “Skip Moore” for a Muncie radio station.

Surely those 4 elements combined would equate to the total coolness of a single employee attending.

    Sincerely,
    Brandon

  2. Joel Cheesman Says:

The David Copperfield reference pulled you into coolness country.
