Recruiter ConciergeStart-up RiseSmart is trying its hand at mashing-up a $100K job board and a candidate sourcing service, dubbed Recruiter Concierge.

According to a company release,

Screened candidates are delivered to the client the same day a requisition with Recruiter Concierge is opened. Clients may access resumes and provide immediate feedback to their concierge via the Recruiter Concierge Web console.

Translation: Employers join, submit openings and have candidates delivered to them, concierge-style. The service costs $15,000/year for up to five live postings at a time. Clients are given a dedicated account manager who serves as the middleman between you, the recruiter, and their army of sourcers, who are offshore.

Says Kevin Womack, vice president for the company, “Competing services might send recruiters a batch of resumes in an e-mail once or twice a week. These services do not respond immediately to the client’s changing needs. Additionally, there often is no one person who is accountable to the client.”

Of the 12 beta-testing companies, six have become paying clients. Said Justin Thomason, recruiting manager for national accounts for Technisource, “Recruiter Concierge has improved our efficiency and speed of delivery, ensuring service excellence to our most important clients.”

what was the name of the company that pioneered this model? mbacentral or something like that… we offered a similar service for a while – recruiters like it, but it wasn’t profitable even when we charged $500 per posting. i hope they succeed, but it’s a tough business to be in!

Speed is everything in this business and TechUSA has received stellar candidates within hours of posting. Our clients have interviewed many of the candidates we have submitted from Recruiters Concierge with excellent feedback!
