Apparently a billion-dollar valuation doesn’t get you a booth at SHRM.
LinkedIn was noticeably absent from the expo hall this year. Word is they tried to get in but were too late to overcome a sold-out convention center. The popular professional networking site was a sponsor for the greater show, however. They have also been very active in other recruiting-related conferences.
That considered, I expect they’ll be at SHRM next year in full force.

They should have purchased the rights to the Vurv booth! Taleo would have turned a nice profit on the transaction and LinkedIn would have had an awesome location.

I wondered if they decided not to have a both because they really don’t have an “HR product” to demo. They did sponsor an event and got their name out. It seemed to me that they wanted name recognition without product demonstration. So, you cleared that up for me…
