Because all the emerging websites, start-ups, and new technology were difficult for one lone blogger to keep up with, Joel hired me to (hopefully) keep the readers well-informed of the latest comings and goings, PR nightmares, investments, and industry chatter.
My name is Vanessa Dennis, and I’m a former corporate recruiter with just a little over 2 years of experience with life cycle recruiting and 2 years of experience at a staffing agency.
As much as I enjoyed recruiting, I wanted to utilize my degree in English Writing from Loyola University New Orleans. As an avid reader of Cheezhead, I was excited to see that Joel was looking for writers, so I took the leap and applied.
After weeks of rigorous tests, including a stint at a Cleveland Indian’s game where I posed as a wedge of cheese for photo ops, I think I am finally ready to begin my career as a blogger. Please feel free to send me any suggestions, insight, or insults. I look forward to getting to know all of you.
