When did CHEEZHEAD start trying to imitate "The Onion." How about FOREVER!
This letter was faked! It was modified before it was forwarded but, being the fantasy site that you are, who cares about such facts because they get in the way of a good smear!

The ad I am referring to was for a weight loss solution. It had a half naked woman wearing nothing but a bra and panties. Not related to recruitment at all.

Well, as of 12/31 Monster has brought all Customer Service jobs BACK to the U.S. and has completely stopped the outsourcing.

Good for them for creating more American jobs.

Ex Monster et al: full-disclosure, all decisions don't always land on the side of the "right". Of course no-one can discuss specific criteria without risk (lest the 'bad guys' attempt to further leverage this), everyone's open to suggestions.

Alex,

Well, where do I even start? The differences can range from so many things such as their focus, industry, market, partners, branding, etc.

Those are just a few of the differences that make a job board tick. I'm sure there are readers that can ad to the list.

I agree with you that job boards generate revenue by allowing employers to post jobs and search resumes. However, in Monsters case it’s by having pop-ups and banner ads for cell phones and bras!!!

I don’t know the inns and outs of every job board and the security measures taken to protect their resume database. Maybe (SNA) from CareerBuilder can enlighten both of us on what they do since he made a comment about it above.

I do know Monsters security policy and there is not much of one. I'm not saying they don’t stop it when they catch it, but nothing is done to prevent it. Especially when you have hungry sales reps trying to meet their monthly quotas!

So you ask what are the differences?

In business there are always sacrifices that need to be made. Some companies even sacrifice revenue to insure the direction they want their business to go. Monster has sacrificed the quality of service they provide to both jobseekers and employers by cutting corners and trying to generate easy revenue. Maybe Monsters biggest downfall is the fact they are a public company and have investors to answer to.

I laugh when I read comments saying “stop picking on just Monster”. Maybe Monster should stop cutting corners and giving us a reason to.
