Careerbuilder’s new job application for Iphones is now available at the Apple App store for free.
All a job seeker must do is stand under the shade of the Empire State Building and New York’s jobs will be automatically transmitted to the phone. No matter where you are in the U.S., the Iphone’s geolocation technology can determine what city you are in to send you the most relevant job postings.
“CareerBuilder.com is constantly exploring new ways to reach the widest possible audience and is excited to be launching an application on the Apple App Store,” said Richard Castellini, Vice President of Consumer Marketing at CareerBuilder.com. “Giving iPhone and iPod Touch users the ability to search for jobs on the go adds a whole new level of convenience and accessibility to job hunting and is far more sophisticated than just connecting to a typical Web site from your cell phone.”

Pretty stupid idea IMO, unless of course your walking around submitting job applications at Starbucks, McDonald’s, etc

Anonymous: what a great addition to the conversation thank you. Seems like a fad with the new Iphone. CareerBuilder is only as good as the companies that advertise, so as long as they continue to have the clients they do I’m sure people will continue to use.
