Another free job board is throwing themselves into the mix.
Startuply.com is a new recruiting tool that bolsters emerging companies by giving them space to post jobs for free, manage resumes, and pick through articles highlighting other startups.
The site also allows employers to create a profile that gives job seekers a peek at why the company was created, how much money exchanged hands, and who is top dog. Co-founder Luke Groesbeck said he asks companies to “tell us about what you’re building, and also your mission, your team, your work environment, how much funding you have, and from whom. These are the details that matter, and we’ve tried to give startups an easy way to communicate them.”
The site used to be called Jowba, but Groesbeck’s team decided the name wasn’t very marketable. So they cleaned up the site, added social media features and google map integration, and repackaged the site as Startuply.
Their business model remains hush-hush, but Groesbeck said that it won’t involve selling ads or pay-per-posts. “One of the advantages of working in an HR-focused field is that unlike much of the Web, customers are conditioned to have to pay for quality services right now,” Groesbeck said. ”We think we have some pretty innovative approaches in the works, so stay tuned.”
Startuply is current being funded by Y Combinator, a pioneering seed stage venture firm.

Thanks for noticing Startuply. We’re always looking for feedback, too, to learn how we can get better at connecting great startups with great talent. Let us know what you think!
