Standoutjobs.com, a Canadian Web site that provides startups with recruiting software to create an enhanced career site that leverages social media tools, has been named in the IDC’s list of the Top Ten Web 2.0 Companies to Watch.
The study profiles 10 companies that IDC believes have the potential to make an impact in the information and communication technology market.
“I was very happy to be named as one of the Top 10 Web 2.0 Companies to Watch,” CEO and Co-founder Ben Yoskovitz said. “I think the IDC recognized that we’re targeting the right market, which mirrors their target audience of business-oriented companies, and trying to help companies with the growing challenge of recruiting top talent. I think they saw that we’re filling a niche and tackling HR/recruiting from a different angle by focusing on the sales and marketing aspects of the hiring process, and providing simple, useful tools for doing so.”
The site has attracted over 150 clients since its inception in 2007.
Of future plans, Yoskovitz said, “There’s a lot of opportunity to evolve our career site and job marketing platform. We’re working with our existing customers to get their feedback, meet their needs and provide the highest level of customer support possible.”
