Boxwood Technologies, a provider of online career centers, has partnered with the American Hospital Association (AHA), the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), and the Center of Association Leadership to create a job board for healthcare associations called the National Healthcare Career Network (NHCN).
Aside from being the most in-depth resource for acronym lovers, the network targets healthcare professionals affiliated with hundreds of associations.
John Bell, CEO of Boxwood Technologies, said the AHA became the foundation of the network. “Their hospitals are in pain. They’re not finding good solutions for their recruitment efforts. Over a billion dollars a year is spent recruiting healthcare professionals, but yet they’re just not seeing the results they wanted. So AHA made a decision to support this initiative that reaches out to the healthcare industry during this workforce crisis.
Bell said that there are about 65 associations in the network, including the American Academy of Pediatrics, the National Kidney Foundation, and the American Public Health Association.
“The network is unique in that it’s a private label association model for all healthcare and related associations, whether they are national or local or regional. Providers are connected directly to the associations rather than having a commercial brand like Monster.”
That kind of direct access comes at a price – $250 and up, to be exact. Postings aren’t cheap. But with so many big names jumping on board, healthcare institutions should find real value in this recruitment solution.
