When Joshua Woody decided that he wanted to start a niche job board for the internet marketing community, he knew he didn’t have the money to build something from scratch. After conceptualizing eMarketingSilo.com, Woody went looking for a partner.

“I didn’t want to reinvent the wheel from a technology standpoint, so I investigated existing job board and career site applications,” Woody, an Internet Marketing and E-commerce Consultant, said.

Woody initially partnered with Job-A-matic, but he found the site lacking many resources, such as the ability to register, create profiles, and upload resumes.

He then discovered JobTarget, a provider of corporate and industry association job boards who also powers the Society of Human Resource Management’s (SHRM) career site.

“JobTarget has an extensive network that allows me to tap resources such as resumes and job postings, while providing my customers extensive cross-posting capabilities.”

Debbie Barden, Marketing Manager for JobTarget, said that people like Woody come to JobTarget for help because of their recruitment advertising network called OneClick, a job posting distribution system that can access a variety of job boards on the Internet.

“An employer can build their job advertisement one time inside the OneClick system and choose any number of job sites to which they want to post that job,” Barden said. “The job automatically gets routed to those boards, and the employer gets one invoice. The OneClick system virtually eliminates the administrative barrier of posting to multiple niche sites.”

Barden also said that their network is supported by sales channels that help direct businesses to the job boards in OneClick. For example, SHRM’s 220,000 HR members can utilize the site’s web portal powered by JobTarget to post their job openings.

Barden added, “Job board operators need to look for opportunities like the OneClick Network to reach a bigger audience of employers.”
