PayScale Inc. announced today it has partnered with Yahoo! Inc. to provide salary and career resources to job seekers. The partnership will allow Yahoo HotJobs users to use PayScale’s salary tools.
Yahoo was previously partnered with Salary.com, a company that builds on-demand software dealing with compensation to help people evaluate pay and performance.
“This new partnership between Yahoo! and PayScale will provide HotJobs users with the best career management experience on the Web,” said Mike Metzger, CEO of PayScale. “Together, the iconic Yahoo! brand and PayScale’s leading global real-time salary tools create a compelling user experience.
“PayScale’s suite of innovative salary tools, like GigZig, will offer Yahoo! users accurate salary information and, as our collaboration evolves, we will identify and develop new and relevant innovative services,” Metzger continued.
Some PayScale tools that HotJobs users will have access to include a real-time salary calculator, cost-of-living calculator, dynamic salary charts and GigZig, an online career path search application. PayScale offers real time salary information, analytics and other career planning tools, as well as an anonymous salary comparison tool.
PayScale is the world’s largest ongoing salary survey, and with the world’s largest database of individual employee compensation profiles, provides a snapshot of current market salaries. The company’s patent-pending real-time profiling technology collects and indexes employee pay attributes worldwide and makes the data available through its online salary tools and salary benchmarking reports.
