the most important interview of her life

Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin gave one of the most important interviews of her life to Charles Gibson Thursday night on ABC. She’s been closed to questions from reporters up until now, so this was her first chance to prove that she has the insight and experience needed to become the next VP.

He certainly asked a few tough questions (click here for a text version), as anyone would of someone interviewing for such a high-level job. Here’s one reader’s take on how well she responded.

If you were Palin, would you walk out of that interview feeling like you nailed it?

Why is this posted on Cheezhead?

I wonder if this comment will get deleted like my last one…

  2. Will Says:

Why is this on an HR blog? Keep your political views to yourself unless they pertain directly to the HR field.

if i want political commentary, i’ll go find matt damon. stick to HR and recruiting.

Not every candidate will be perfect. Perhaps she doesn’t even know a single Washington Lobbyist! Wouldn’t that be a good thing? It appears she does know about Energy policy and she knows about secruity matters relating to having a powerful communist country as a border. Let’s save the politics for the political pages like Thomas P.M. Barnett’s.

I’m good at career coaching but bad at financial management. what is your strength? More importantly what are your weaknesses – they are more fun to talk about. Both parties have positives and negatives. Make your choice in the privacy of the voting booth and leave it out of valuable forums like this one.

Want to start a fight – I find it despicable when people won’t post their real identity on a blog post. Just kidding I could care less.
Enjoy life but not at the expense of others.

She’s interviewing for the most important job of her career and she blew it. Not knowing what the Bush Doctrine is is like going into an interview for the CEO position and not knowing what the company does.

  6. Jim Durbin Says:

    Sam,

Perhaps you could tell us what the Bush Doctrine is? Or perhaps one of the four?

Read the entire transcript before you start passing judgement. The interview was heavily choppped up for TV, and if you know much about camera angles, you’ll wonder why it was shot as it was.

The interview was a hit, because it showed just how in the tank the media has been towards Governor Palin.
