Think creating video isn’t important? Maybe Google giving even more real estate to video content will help convince you otherwise. Checkout the results below for a recent search on “recruiting”:

It’s in Google’s DNA to test stuff like this to see what happens, so there’s no guarantee that this will stick. The importance of video, however, is something I believe Google cares about deeply and will not be surprised to see this, or some iteration of this, be a part of search results for the foreseeable future.

Not surprisingly, Google Video and (Google’s) YouTube are seen more regularly in Web search results than other services, so make sure at least one of these is part of your marketing strategy.
