Basketball legend Earvin “Magic” Johnson, head of Magic Johnson Enterprises, has announced a new staffing venture called Magic Workforce Solutions (MWS).

Johnson is pairing with staffing giant Adecco USA to provide staffing solutions for Fortune 500 companies. The web site for MWS says that customers will benefit from an established network and process “for successfully tapping into the ethnically diverse urban community.”

“MAGIC Workforce Solutions was created to enhance the growth and culmination of today’s talent to strengthen and groom tomorrow’s workforce into a dynamic, diverse masterpiece,” Johnson said.

“At Adecco, we are thrilled about the opportunity to help MAGIC Workforce Solutions and serve the urban communities in its network with great job opportunities and the employers in those communities with great talent,” says Joyce Russell, president and chief operating officer of Adecco General Staffing USA. “What we’ve conceived together is an absolute game changer in the recruitment industry.”

Hopefully the partnership is a slam dunk!
