AfterCollege, a career network for college students and alumni, has announced a partnership with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) to provide job opportunities to electrical engineering students nationwide.
On the IEEE web site, students will be able to access entry-level and internship career opportunities via a customized online job board powered by AfterCollege specifically targeted to each of the 407 IEEE student branches.
At the same time, AfterCollege will enable students to research job opportunities from its network of employers through Job Resource Centers available on IEEE student branch web sites.
“AfterCollege has been working with the electrical engineering departments of universities and colleges for some time now to wire their IEEE student sections for online recruitment. I look forward to helping them expand this successful program to offer even more IEEE student and recent graduate members additional opportunities for internships and entry level jobs. And I’m certain that employers will welcome this highly targeted sourcing channel to better reach our student and graduate members to advertise their technology positions,” said Michael Buryk, Business Development Manager for IEEE.
According to their web site, IEEE is an authority on areas ranging from aerospace systems, computers and telecommunications to biomedical engineering, electric power and consumer electronics among others. Members rely on IEEE as a source of technical and professional information, resources and services.
