In a message to Recruiting Blogs’ users, R.D. Whitney shared his company’s new social network. It’s called Talent Management Tech, and he says it’s “as Web 2.0 as it gets.”

“Now you can send out press releases, blog about your technology, enhance your directory listing, upload white papers, connect with your peers – right in your industry,” said Whitney, who reports to Tarsus (Onrec’s parent) as CEO of Caroo Media (the Tarsus branch that focuses online), and does it in a SEO-friendly way that will get you picked up with more visibility on the Web.”

Instead of Ning, like so many others, the network is powered by Firestarter. Whitney said, “Firestarter is a really smart new company. It was started by the guys that helped most of the traditional directory publishers go online (www.365media.com). Their core strength is in online directories.”

The future? No-so-HR.

Whitney added, “Talent Management Tech is the first of 10 online directory sites we are launching. Next week we launch one to the legal technology area, then accounting, then sales, etc. All sites will be a similar model. Goal is to create a very comprehensive online directory of technologies in that industry or job function.”
