TheLadders, a job board that only posts $100K+ jobs, has announced that they are switching to the Google Affiliate Network from Converseon.
An email from TheLadders sent today had this to say about the change:
Google Affiliate Network is excited to announce that TheLadders.com will be launching exclusively with Google Affiliate Network on October 15, 2008! In order to continue promoting TheLadders.com on your site, we strongly encourage you to join TheLadders.com affiliate program through Google Affiliate Network. Please note that the affiliate program with Converseon will be terminated as of October 15, 2008.
Here are some of the features and payouts of the new network:
*Base Commission: 40% commission (up to $72) for every new subscriber
*30-day Commission Duration and 365 day tracking of leads
*Regular bonuses for top performing affiliates
*Product data feed available with open $100k+ job listings (available soon)
So why did they choose Google’s fairly new program over Commission Junction or another more established network?
Rob Key, founder and CEO of Converseon, had this to say about the separation: “Suffice to say we had a long (I think almost 3 years) positive relationship with TheLadders. Three years is a long time and we’re all in a different position now then when we started with them and they have different requirements as well. Our focus is on the blend of social media/WOM and affiliate (or affiliate 2.0) – we’re a social media agency that incorporates affiliate into our solutions - while theirs is more of a traditional affiliate approach. Our growth there is very rapid and is our primary focus. I can only say positive things about our relationship and Theladders team. It was a very agreeable and positive separation.”
