Many recruiters are constantly networking and often find themselves faced with a pile of business cards to sort through at the end of each day. A new service has popped up that is offering to shoulder that burden by collecting and sorting your contacts for you.
CloudContacts, a startup created by Allen Stern from CenterNetworks, is sort of a heaven for business cards. Users can mail all of the cards they have collected to the company HQ where they are digitized and placed in a cloud. You can then access your contacts anywhere from their web interface.
Users can also import their business cards into many email applications and where possible, utilize one-click connect to contacts on business social networks including Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter.
This sounds like an excellent resource for recruiters strapped for time but bogged down with business cards. While many people do enjoy logging their own contacts, this could be a great time-saver for those who prefer a contact management system.
Pricing starts at $30, and the service is available in the U.S., Canada, and Western Europe.
