Monster Worldwide has announced a partnership with Comcast Cable that will allow viewers to tune in to job listings via their remote control.
Comcast digital cable customers will be able to access “Monster on Demand” under Comcast’s On Demand Menu for job listings and employment resources.
The listings will drive viewers to Monsterondemand.com, a co-branded web site that will give more information on how to submit resumes and contact employers.
According to a press release, Monster hopes to benefit from Comcast’s reach into 16.5 million homes that have digital cable subscriptions, and to impact job seekers at a local level in more than 70 Designated Market Areas (DMAs).
“Monster continues to seek new and innovative avenues to further connect job seekers and employers,” Mark Stoever, Executive VP, Corporate Development and Strategic Alliances for Monster. “Levering Comcast’s Video on Demand Platform will enable us to dramatically extend our reach to tens of millions of potential job seekers, and open a powerful new channel for employers to target job seekers on a highly localized basis. This is just the beginning of what we envision to be a highly-interactive medium, and we look forward to our continued collaboration with Comcast to provide consumers with resources and solutions to improve their lives.
The two companies struck a three-year deal that will begin in November.
