willuwork asks the dreaded question

WilluWork, a software for companies that helps manage employees that call off, asks the dreaded question: are you available for work?

It looks fairly simple. A manager can log on and enter the date and time of a specific shift that needs covered, and the system contacts his employees one by one until someone can accept the shift.

According to their web site, this “experiment” was was created after many frustrating years in retail and hospitality management.

This sounds like a fairly easy to easy solution for managers, but I question if anyone will actually benefit from this service since most likely by the time the announcement of an open shift has circulated, the shift is already over. So for those companies that have a lot of no-shows, WilluWork probably won’t be the best answer.

But if you’ve got dependable employees who call in sick ahead of time, this could be a great automated solution that will keep your business moving.

Sounds like Willuwork is addressing the same problem as StaffKnex in Cleveland. Not sure which solution is better or which name is worse.
