MBAInteract, a new job site for MBA professionals and employers, seeks to connect the two with surveys utilizing images instead of drop-down menus.
The site, which launched a month ago with funding from Galen Buckwalter, Chief Scientist at eHarmony, was created by Jeff Condon, who envisioned an online professional network for college students and alumni that set itself apart from other job sites by using this unique proprietary matching system.
Condon said, “MBAinteract aims to create an efficient recruiting environment by combining a professional network with matching tools. We are initially focused on the MBA market and our goal is to reduce recruiting expenses and attrition rates by matching job candidates with employers. We match users based on interest, personality, and work/life balance preferences. We use imagery to allow users to associate with preferences, elicit truthful responses, and create enjoyable surveys.”
MBA students can apply to receive a login using their .edu address, and then can fill out the surveys to be matched to employers who filled out their own criteria.
Buckwalter said, “Personality and interest matching science provides recruiters with powerful tools to identify candidates who will ‘fit’ and thrive in their unique work environment. This will reduce expense and turn-over, and as importantly, it can be the beginning of a meaningful and lasting career for every user.”
Buckwalter and Condon said they have plans to develop more niche sites under the “Interact” umbrella, with sites like MDInteract and JDInteract.
“Once our matching system is perfected, we will expand into other markets and create tools which other recruiting systems can leverage, “Condon said. “We see our matching system integrating into other job boards, applicant tracking systems, and corporate social networks.”
