Jobg8 (pronounced Job Gate), a tool for job boards that allows them to increase the number of jobs listed on their web site while maintaining their brand to employers and job seekers, has announced their U.S. launch.

The application originated in the United Kingdom in April and also has a presence in Australia.

Jobg8 creates an online network in which job boards can distribute their jobs to other boards who can then provide qualified candidates for those positions. Job boards decide if they want to use the network to distribute their jobs, or they can use the network to acquire additional targeted job postings.

Job boards that sign up for the Jobg8 network to distribute jobs and increase job views will only incur a fee when qualified candidates are delivered to their client. Also, job sites that use the job content are paid when one of their qualified job seekers apply for a Jobg8 posting on their site.

Matt Hoffner, the former CEO of JobsIntheUS.com and current leader spearheading the development of Jobg8 in the U.S., sat down to give me a presentation on how Jobg8 works. He said that the network funnels only qualified applicants through a thorough screening process. The company who sent out the original job posting does not have to be aware of the network, and the job board involved in purchasing candidates absorbs those fees.

Hoffner said it works a lot like a fish market. A job board can set an amount, say $4 per candidate, that they are willing to shell out to another job board who is willing to sell.

“With more than 40,000 job boards in the U.S. market; this software will help job boards be more effective in matching a qualified job seeker with an employer locally, regionally, nationally or internationally”, said Robbie Cowling, Chief Executive Officer and founder of Jobg8. “The unique design of the system ensures that the important relationship between a job seeker, employer and the job board is fully protected while generating quality results for the client while adding a revenue stream to the boards that supply the candidates. It’s a win-win situation for all entities of the industry.”
