With all the news of layoffs coming down the pike, it seemed appropriate to highlight some companies who are actually expanding despite the souring economy. I performed a quick check, and here’s a few companies I found with open positions:
Jobvite is looking for a Senior Product Manager.

The job openings at Jobfox have been posted for about 5 months. I called there recently about one of the jobs at Jobfox and they told me they had filled the jobs (Eng and QA). I asked why they had those jobs posted and they couldn’t really give me a reason… also, they don’t ever show the date the job was posted on their board. I changed my profile according to their qualifications and the jobs weren’t there and I should have matched.
Same for Jobvite and RealMatch and others. I am wondering how often the job boards are updating date posted to make it look recent. Believe me, I am one of the people out of a job and I have scoured the job boards and called companies directly.
Anyone can post a job opening. Whether they are really hiring is questionable.
Maybe they keep the jobs up there for the recruiters to keep filling up their ATS….

CollegeRecruiter.com a month ago hired two additional national account executives. There’s little doubt that the current economy is making the sales process longer and more difficult, but not all job boards are threatening to terminate their sales people for not making enough dials. Hopefully most of us are focused on the real measure of success: sales.

People always hate to talk about when they are laid off.
