Online recruiting marketplace BountyJobs has announced the appointment of three people to their workforce: Donald Weinstein as chief financial officer, Vartan Hagopian as vice president of sales, and Ed Kozek as vice president of engineering.
“Don, Vartan and Ed will be taking on critical leadership responsibilities that will help develop, promote and expand BountyJobs,” said BountyJobs CEO and Founder Jeremy Lappin. “We are thrilled to have such top-notch talent join our team and support our mission to fundamentally streamline the recruitment process for employers around the globe.”
Weinstein previously served as CFO for two NYSE-listed companies and has provided consulting services to private companies on strategic financial management. As CFO at BountyJobs, Don will focus on streamlining the company’s financial processes and will be responsible for all financial planning and reporting.
Vartan previously served nine years at Monster Worldwide in various sales leadership roles including a five-year tenure as VP of telesales. At Monster he managed a $200 million P&L and a 200-person sales organization. He most recently served as chief sales officer at Health Diagnostics. At BountyJobs Vartan will be charged with building and developing the company’s global sales strategy and go-to-market model.
“BountyJobs is an excellent opportunity as it simplifies all aspects of the employer and search firm relationship,” Vartan said. “I am excited to help grow the company and bring this great technology to the market.”
Kozek previously worked at Yahoo! as a senior director of engineering. Ed joined Yahoo! as a result of its $850 million acquisition of Right Media where he had been that company’s vice president of engineering and product management. Ed will be focused on building new marketplace capabilities and expanding BountyJobs into a fully internationalized global platform.

Yes, BountyJobs hired 3 “critical” execs that have now been fired. From the comments I hear from our BJ Rep their CEO should be the one replaced. (He’s an MIT financial grad with no recruiting or HR experience, including building a management team. Changes direction, strategy and team members weekly.) We’ve used the service and are disappointed in the poor quality of recruiters and resumes. They have a unique technology and interesting idea for business, but poorly executed. Hope they turn it around.
