In a move company vice president Joe Shaker, Jr., described as a natural fit, Shaker Recruitment Consultants has acquired CareerSite.com, a Web site platform that provides private-label recruitment sites for traditional and non-traditional media nationwide.
Archive.org dates the site as far back as 1996, which makes it a very valuable property from a search engine perspective alone, as Google loves such established properties.
“We are very excited about the opportunities this provides. Our plan is to take CareerSite’s proven
technological platform and grow it to assist publishers across the country,” says Shaker.
The two groups are very acquainted with each other. The CareerSite technology already powers the existing network of Shaker sites, which includes Chicago Jobs.com, Boston Jobs.com and Atlanta Jobs.com.
Says a company press release, “Shaker’s vast experience in the recruitment marketing arena and CareerSite’s leading technology will bring a complete solution to the marketplace, as well as offer publishers additional recruitment advertising services that before were not possible.”

Terms were not disclosed.
