U-Connect.ca is a newly-launched online platform that enables businesses to post and fill projects from a database of post secondary students.
The founders of the site are students who wanted to create a venue that aids people who haven’t received a degree yet but are needing real-world experience. Examples of projects listed on the site are web site design, marketing and promotion material, usability testing, press releases, programming software, and data entry.
When a company selects up to five student for a posted project, U-Connect charges them $65. Included in the fee is the ability to search and basic project management tools.
The system is free for students and provides them with tools to help manage their projects.
