A new job board is thinking outside of the box – not with it’s style or policies – but with the type of jobs it lists.
SutraJobs.com, a job board focused on startup new-age media jobs, is looking to bring job seekers and employers together in the name of entrepreneurship.
SutraJobs.com features job opportunities from startups and emerging companies in the technology, Internet, gaming, mobile and other new media industries. Job seekers are able to create a personal profile on the site, making it easier for them to showcase a personal brand that employers can seek out.
Companies looking to hire workers are able to post information and available jobs for free. Employers can talk about their company, inspirations, brands, the existing team and post pictures of company experiences.
“You can let them know how big you are, where you want to be in 5 years, what your business models look like, and how together you’re going to achieve the revenue estimates that will fuel the growth of your company,” the SutraJob.com Web site states. “Anything that you feel is important in attracting the right kind of people becomes information that you can post on SutraJobs.com . It only builds your case as a great place to work with both active and passive, one tiny detail at a time.”
While the structure and idea of SutraJobs.com is not much different than any other job board, the positions the site lists are different than most. Especially in a time when many people, those in Generation Y and others, are looking for more fulfilling work, a site like SutraJobs.com seems to be a promising idea.
