Manpower has announced the public launch of MyPath, the staffing firm’s community-driven online career management platform that helps job seekers plot out their careers in anticipation of an ever-changing world of work.
The service is initially targeting professionals in IT, engineering, and financial services, although the company said that everyone can find value on the site.
Users can utilize MyPath’s tools and assessments to help define a vision for their life and career. They also have access to advice, analysis, and a personalized community forum inhabited by peers and mentors.
In a letter to their employees, Manpower urges everyone to explore the community and leave feedback or recommend the site to other professionals. They say the site was built to establish Manpower as ‘the de factor individual career experience’ that will position the company as a trusted adviser in career management.
Because of this, the company warns against recruiting on the site.
The company also stated that in the latter half of 2009 they will be working on creating local versions of MyPath with other countries but that the countries will be financially responsible for such an undertaking.
