A few stories and articles that have really caught my eye the past few days:
- Some Things Need to Change – TechCrunch’s Michael Arrington laments the abuse he takes from readers and entrepreneurs. Could he be leaving the biz, a la Jason Calacanis?
- Could Google Get MySpaced Like Friendster? – AdAge’s Brian Sheehan says Google could be toppled by social networking or other historical precedence: “If you had a choice today between taking a Starbucks franchise or a Dunkin’ Donuts franchise, chances are you would opt for Dunkin’.”
- ‘General Print Mags Are Dead’; Best Advice: Stop Letting Google Win – PaidContent reports on recent panel of experts: “Google has established a new model. They don’t create or pay for content. The thing we’ve built our businesses around, they don’t do.”
- Google to Buy Skype? – ZDNet’s Dave Greenfield says “… pulling together Skype and Gmail are intriguing. The move would give Gmail the broadest reach of any P2P VoIP system today.” And don’t forget about it potentially plugging into Android.
