News

TopUSAJobs.com has once again won the WEDDLE’s User’s Choice Award for 2009. It is the third year the pay-per-click job board has won this honor.

“We are proud to again receive this prestigious award,” says Shelly Mudd, Vice President, Sales and Business Development at TopUSAJobs.com. “Our goal is to drive targeted, quality job seekers directly to our clients’ job boards at a lower cost than other sources, and provide a competitive cost-per-hire/cost-per-resume. This recognition is a testament to our efforts.”

WEDDLE’s User’s Choice Awards are presented every year to the top 30 websites that receive the most votes by HR professionals, job seekers, and recruiters during the calendar year. Click here to view the other winners, including Indeed.com, Vault.com, and GettheJob.com.

There were 30 User’s Choice Award recipients, what makes any one the subject of this post?

  2. Anonymous Says:

Here’s the truth: It’s because these job boards game these types of awards by aggressively soliciting their users, friends, employees, family, etc. to vote for their site. Sorry, but these awards have zero relevance. As previous comments support, some of these “winners” should maybe spend some time improving their service, and not waste it on trying to win a meaningless award.

Whoops: someone emailed me asking me to delete a comment on this post that they regretted, and I deleted the wrong one from Nick. Nick, if you read this, feel free to re-post what you said.

  4. BillW Says:

Vanessa, 30 different websites won this award – basically the 30 most well-known career sites. It’s like giving a PC of the Year Award to Dell, HP and IBM at the same time. Please post all of the winners names with your article so that you don’t imply that only one company one. Thanks! Bill

  5. Nick Says:

Thanks Vanessa, I agree with Anonymous.. How did this website win any type of web award in 2009? They still have their 2005 ‘Weddle award’ listed in the footer, have there been any enhancements since?

  6. Michaela Says:

This user’s choice awards, especially one with 30 “winners” is like releasing a list of “recession proof” jobs.

  7. joe Says:

Vanessa, was this posted paid for ?
As per the above posts comments towards relevancy compared to the other big names.

I have never even heard of TopUSAJobs IN MY LIFE before I saw this press release nor have I ever spoken to anyone at the job board before. To clarify once again, I saw a press release on PRWEB about this winner, wrote a quick post about it, and linked to the other winners. No big deal. No money, no emails, nothing nothing nothing nothing was exchanged between me or ANYONE with any of the winners. Nor has anyone at Cheezhead INCLUDING MYSELF ever accepted goods or services or money to write a post. If that is what you are insinuating, than please email me personally at vanessa@cheezhead.com and we’ll clear this up OR feel free to contact anyone at TopUSAJobs.com and ask them if they’ve ever spoken with anyone at Cheezhead or if they even sent anyone at Cheezhead this press release. This is completely ridiculous.
