PayScale, a site that has accumulated a large database of employee compensation profiles, has launched a career management platform complete with a bevy of new tools to aid in analyzing and researching compensation.

Tools in the new PayScale platform include:

• Real-time Salary and Benefits: See how your compensation compares to your peers.
• Job Opportunities: These jobs, powered by Indeed, were available previously, but founder Joe Giordano said that now the opportunities are tailored to the user’s profile and are more numerous.
• Educational Opportunities: This tab shows you how much money certain degrees in your field earn. There are also links provided that direct you to sites about getting certified in your field.
• Cost of Living Calculator: A graph depicts several cities that would be harder or easier on your wallet in relation to where you currently live. The user can add or change cities to provide more accurate comparisons.
• GigZig: Glimpse future career paths and their corresponding salaries.

  

• Company Data: See top jobs and typical pay for a current or future employer.
• Advice: Read helpful career advice from people like you.
• Anonymous Profiles: See career details about people like you.
