LaunchMind, a new job site that connects graduates and employers, has announced their launch in the U.K.
Instead of applying for jobs, visitors to the site need only to upload their resume and contact information. Employers can review the resumes for free. A fee of £8 is charged when the graduate responds positively to a company’s request and acquiesces to an interview. Then their contact info is revealed.
Founder Rishi Modha said that the site utilizes a sophisticated search application to probe for candidates.
“The service tackles three key problems faced by graduate recruiters,” Modha said. “Firstly, the difficulty in finding and targeting graduates with the right skills and experience; secondly, the flood of unsuitable applications received through traditional job adverts; and thirdly, the possibility of missing out on the best graduates due to ineffective advertising and communication.”
Modha said that future plans include partnering with universities and student societies throughout the U.K.
