Sounds like a similar concept to Path101.com

I could see how one would think so, but digging into them both, they are very different. UpMo seems to be about career discovery and management via validated reference points – successful people that have been there and done that. Path 101 is more about peers and community. Path 101’s “data-driveness” is from crawling and collating published resumes. This raises quality control concerns, because you’re dealing with actual paths rather than the optimal career paths from people in top percentile. Frankly, the most emulatable professionals that I know do not have resumes published online. UpMo seems to model from successful professionals with proven paths; they do deep research and also sit down with some of these people to figure out the “secret sauce” if you will. They also have a cool interactive roadmap feature that allows you to dump events into a timeline and see how they effect your earning potential.
To each his/her own. I guess it’s just a matter of who you want to be guiding your career experience.

Interesting concept. That is one of the best things about these times…INNOVATION. Needs were identified and technology was leveraged in order to great a much more effective career tool than just another site to do a job search. Interesting to see where this goes.
Thanks for the post
