hhmmm. Circulation is faling because people are wondering why they are paying for content that they can get free online. 

So when they jack up the subscription rate...readers will stop writing the checks altogether.

So let&#039;s do the excercise with Starbucks. If in a recession people stop buying $5 coffee becuase they can make it at home for nearly free to save some money. Jacking the price to $20 a cup isn&#039;t going to rite the ship to profitability.
