It is difficult for many people my age (40's) to understand the usefulness of social media such as Twiiter. In this instance, I can clearly see the value in using a tool that reaches the younger generation. It will be interesting to see how today's companys learn to use social media such as twitter to communicate with the younger generations.

I'm not surprised at all. Twitter is ideal for college recruitment.

For those using Salesforce.com for university recruiting, or recruiting in general, Salesforce.com just came out with an integration with Twitter.

Its brand new, the results should be interesting.

This is a great move for colleges. Love the idea of linking and promoting student blogs. I think one of the main ways that colleges can use this is to have their career service offices send out job opportunities to followers immediately. There is always a market for people that want information first because it is useful.
