sergei-miledinSergei Miledin, a journalism major at Hunter College in NYC, didn’t believe that he was really selected as a winner in the NFL Director of Fandemonium Contest presented by Monster.com until he received solid proof.

On his blog on BleacherReport.com, Miledin said, “In the age of viruses and scams on the Internet, I refused to believe this email was legitimate.

“I was contacted by the director of Monster.com’s sports marketing agency to verify the legitimacy of the contest. Having entered countless contests, it was not until I was sent the affidavit to confirm myself as a winner.”

Thirty-two winners from NFL cities around the U.S. have been selected to participate. In addition to being entered to win the top prize – a $100K, as well as key roles in several NFL events – Miledin already won two tickets to all eight regular season home games for the 2009-2010 season of the team of his choice. Other prizes included a merchandise bag, a custom jersey, and a trip for one to New York, NY for three days and two nights during the time period between March 26-28.

While in New York, Miledin said the 32 winners will compete in various stages in the competition including trivia contests, endzone celebrations, media blitzes, and a sit-down with Monster.com and NFL brass.

The contestant is chronicling his journey on his Twitter page.
