By Vanessa Dennis - Monster Worldwide, Inc. today reported total revenue declined 31% to $254 million, compared with $366 million in the comparable quarter of 2008. During the Q1 earnings call, Timothy Yates, Monster's CFO, addressed operating expenses, including layoffs both here and in China since acquiring ChinaHR.com last year. Sal Iannuzzi, Monster's CEO, discussed additional cost-cutting measures, Monster's break-even quarter, and his new plans for Trovix.

By Joel Cheesman - Meet missAdriane. She is apparently a CareerBuilder sales rep who spends a lot of time on Twitter. According to her description, she's "basically the most awesome person ever." I doubt her clients will feel that way after seeing tweets like, "people really annoy me ... especially those i'm trying to get to buy stuff ..." After layoffs and salary cuts, this is who CareerBuilder kept? Wow!
