Did you know that actor and director Kevin Costner is also a partner in GreenJobInterview.com? I didn’t, but it’s true.

I caught up with Keith Walker of GreenJobInterview.com’s Marketing Team to discuss Costner’s role in the company and exhibiting at ERE.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with the company, here’s a brief rundown on how it works: you start with an Internet browser, a broadband Internet connection, and a Webcam or digital video camera. Recruiters or HR personnel can set up a virtual interview and an e-mail will be sent to all participants.

Anyone using a Windows, Mac or Linux-based computer can participate in the interview. At the appointed time, everyone joins the GreenJobInterview.com environment from their desks and listens using a standard telephone, microphone or headset. According to their site, GreenJobInterview.com was created as an environmental tool, since it allows for interviews with minimal need for travel, gas, emissions and waste.

Walker said that a few weeks ago, they launched an upgraded version of GreenJobInterview.com that includes new logo, branding, and color scheme for the company. New clients within the last few months include UCLA, Broadcom, Abrazo, Renaissance Personnel Group, to name a few, and they continue to make inroads in a variety of industries such as higher education, healthcare, recruitment, and high technology.

“Since GreenJobInterview.com is still fairly new, we don’t have any specific product or service launches to showcase at the ERE show at our booth,” Walker said. “Our primary intention is to provide brief guided tours of the solution, and are giving away a free Webcam ($30 value, while supplies last) to guests who experience the demonstration.”

Walker noted that Kevin Costner is a partner in the company and will be interacting with the ERE audience via Webcam during the “Coffee with Costner: A Live, Virtual Q & A Experience with Kevin” scheduled from 10:00 – 10:30 on Wednesday. GJI is sponsoring the break.

“Kevin uses the technology within Creative Artists Agency (CAA) for conducting virtual interviews for casting at various locations as one example,” Walker said.
