No, it’s not a job board for Trekkies. Voolkan is a new job site that takes a minimalist approach to job searching.

Voolkan was created by Voolkan Online Technologies, an internet startup based out of New York City and established in June 2008.

The site uses matching technology to connect job seekers with the most appropriate opportunities. It also takes into consideration jobs that you have applied to in the past and recommends a fresh batch based on those qualifications.

Voolkan’s user interface is clean, simple, and reminiscent of Craigslist. Job seekers can search by location, date posted, and field.

Posting and searching for jobs are free to both employers and job seekers. Currently the site is housing around 25,000 job listings and 98,000 applicants.
