Have you had a noteworthy internship experience – good or bad – that you’d like other potential interns to know about? A new site will allow you to share your stories and search for internships.
internSHARE, a new private online community, serves as a place for students to find internship reviews written by their peers, search for internships, socialize and network.
The site offers: co-op and internship reviews to see what prospective jobs are really like; interview notes to see what to expect during your interviews for specific jobs; job postings to find internship and co-op opportunities and company information to help find the company that meets your internship needs.
The current internSHARE is a combination of the original internSHARE site and Coop Rankings, which merged in March. The founders of internSHARE came up with the idea for the site during their own internships, when they realized there was a shortage of resources available for finding and evaluating internships.
The original internSHARE, which launched in private beta in May 2008, was founded by three University of Toronto students. Coop Rankings was founded in 2004 by a group of students at the University of Waterloo.
