Andrew Chen, the founder of CoNotes, has landed a job at Simply Hired and asked us to spread the word that his job site is up for sale. Here are the details:
Launched in April 2008, CoNotes is the leading job website for entrepreneurial jobs. In less than a year, CoNotes has developed a community of over 45,000 users and has established distribution partnerships with top job search engines and university career services. Through our dedicated focus on marketing to top university graduates and talented individuals, CoNotes has garnered praise from the press and customers for its “top quality applicants.” Furthermore we have developed a set of innovative recruiting tools, including social network integration with LinkedIn and a company recommendation engine.
Unfortunately because I will be joining the Simply Hired team, I must divest my ownership in CoNotes. CoNotes has developed a great brand and community base in the entrepreneurial world, and I believe CoNotes would thrive as part of a larger company that is looking to expand their service offerings to fast-growth companies. We continue to gain new customers and users every day, and expect growth to increase as the economy improves. Because this is a bit of a fire-sale, I am seeking only serious offers with an asking price of $100,000. This is also an asset sale to protect any buyer(s) from any current corporate liabilities.
I really hope we can find a new home for CoNotes because the entrepreneurial recruiting world is grossly under-served. Please contact me at andrew.chen@conotes.com if interested.

The URL has a 4 page rank and 44 inbound links so its better then starting with a brand new URL. If they have some existing revenue then this might be worthwhile.

Google PR is low, and Alexa showing even less optimistic data. Perhaps if the authentic web server log files show better numbers, it might be worth looking into?
