buttload of job-related domains for sale

News

The operator of Jobhill.com, Inventive Marketing, is hoping to unload its entire portfolio of job-related URLs. Highlights, depending on the eye of the beholder, might include bartendingjobs.com, RNjobs.org and Bookkeeperjobs.com.

For a full list, click here.

According to owner Dean Davis, if the whole lot of 865 can’t be sold as-is – at a current pricetag of $5.5 million – then the URLs will be sold piecemeal. And, of course, there’s a chance most, if not all the domains are too crappy to sell at all. We’re sure Davis will keep us updated.

Slight Clarification. In response to your email question “So, the entire portfolio is for sale? Piece-by-piece or full-meal-deal?” I replied “Yes the… whole….thing…..Full meal deal for now. If no buyers than 865 piece nugget happy meal later”. This is slightly different from “According to owner Dean Davis, if the whole lot of 865 can’t be sold as-is – at a current pricetag of $5.5 million – then the URLs will be sold piecemeal” but close. Thats $6,358 per domain if I buy the whole thing or I can buy just the domains I like but for more I would Imagine. I did do some checking around and I can buy other job related domains a little cheaper from a bulk provider called godaddy. They will even let me customize every domain I want for $2.99 per domain per year. If I wanted 865 domains there, I’d only be spending $2,586 instead of 5.5 million. My momma didnt raise no dummies.

What would a professional headhunter do with DefenseIndustryJobs.com? 6K? What Would a quality Job Board do with it? momma learned ya allright. Take your time young man.

Well Lets see. We only marketed landscapejobs.com. It brought in 100k to 150k for years by itself. With some money and sales/marketing/advetising many, many of these sites could bring in much higher numbers than that. 6.3k per is a blue light special..a bargain. SEO marketing lesson…. Domains do matter. Many of these sites ranked #1 with little traffic beacuse of the domian name matching what we did. On Yahoo we still rank very high… try it. We are working to get re-listed with google after unintentionally breaking their guidlines. Our traffic leading up to January 15th was 3-4X what it is currently. The good news. Google states in black and white that a new domain owner gets favored reconsideration.

I think if you had time to sell these on an individual basis, you would do better. some of those names are good. Most names in a collection like yours have little value to most people. You need to find out who can benefit the most and then go to them directly and make your case.
