Jobvite, a provider of next-generation recruitment solutions, announced that former Trulia and Yahoo! executive, Jamie Glenn, has joined the company as Chief Product Officer.

Glenn will be responsible for leading product strategy and design at Jobvite.

According to a company press release, Jobvite founder Jesper Schultz has stepped away from his day-to-day role as Chief Product Officer but will remain actively engaged on the company’s Board of Directors and will continue to work closely with the executive team on strategy and partnerships.

Glenn was most recently at Trulia, a real estate search engine, where he served as Vice President of Product Management, managing the product, design and business analytics teams.

Prior to Trulia, Glenn served as the Director of Product for Real Estate & Classifieds at Yahoo!, spearheading the company’s real estate product strategy, development, content acquisition and advertising partnerships.

“Jamie brings proven leadership in product development and design to Jobvite along with an in-depth knowledge of the consumer Internet, marketplace and online classifieds industries,” said Dan Finnigan, President and Chief Executive Officer of Jobvite. “The Jobvite social recruiting application leads the market in innovation, design, functionality and cost-effectiveness. Jamie’s demonstrated ability to fuse great user experience with valuable functionality and emerging technologies will help Jobvite accelerate innovation and value creation for our customers.”

“While employers face the challenge of finding quality candidates cost-effectively and jobseekers face the challenge of uncovering the right opportunities, Jobvite offers a truly innovative way to match talent and jobs that will shape how companies recruit moving forward,” said Jamie Glenn, Chief Product Officer of Jobvite. “I look forward to applying my experience at integrating social media with the product experience and breaking new ground with the talented team at Jobvite.”

That makes me think of another founder that should be stepping down! Aaron Matos of Jobing has run that company into the ground and to say moral is low would be an understatement! What once was a great company is now just a shell of what its was and could have been. With poor Management promotions to loosing the focus on what the company was founded on, “its all about great people”, things need to change in order for the investors to recoup their monies and for Jobing to survive! How many VP’s are needed anyways? Joel, when are you going to wake up and become an equal opportunity blogger instead of focusing your energies on the same ole song and dance? It is time the truth comes out about a once great organization that is now in retreat mode.
