eQuest thinks job searching through Twitter has some real potential.
The company has announced that it will add TwitterJobSearch.com to its network of successful job boards through FreeBUG, or Free Board User Group. eQuest customers can use FreeBUG for a small fee, allowing them access to the most-trafficked job boards. FreeBUG’s list of job boards turned more than 7 million candidates into eQuest customers during 2008.
eQuest tracks, evaluates and ranks free-based and free job boards in the 200 million plus postings it delivers each year. The company regularly evaluates job board performance and adds or removes job boards from FreeBUG to help ensure only the top performing free job boards are represented based on real candidate traffic.
“eQuest is understandably interested in Twitter’s ability to virally expand the audience for our client’s job postings,” Mike Pauletich, senior vice president of interactive media at eQuest, said. “With the addition of Twitter’s job site to the FreeBUG network, we hope to provide another valuable channel of candidates to our clients.”
