In one of the more unusual advertising collaborations I’ve seen lately, Monster has apparently joined forces with Just For Men, the hair color experts for, well, men.
The job board has launched a website powered by those Foes of the Frail Follicle with content specifically created for older men who could use need a good dose of career advice to go along with that hair dye kit. They’re calling it “The Guy’s Guide to Reenergizing Your Career.”
Aside from a few snippets here and there on Twitter (both parties seem to be relying on this channel alone to distribute press), I couldn’t find any news about when or why the site launched. There’s nothing on Google, zilch on Monster (except for some JFM ads), nada on Just for Men.
I’m surprised neither is promoting the site, because it’s chock-full of interesting articles like “Beat the ‘Over 40′ Barriers” and “Show Your Experience the Right Way.” There are lots of great tips about interviewing, competing with younger workers, dealing with the recession, and the limitations of being overqualified. Clicking on any of these articles will take you straight to the career advice portion of Monster’s home site, with each piece flanked by Just For Men ads.
There’s also an E-book that contains all 14 articles, most of them penned by a senior writer at Monster.
At the end of the E-book, as an added bonus, users can print out two rebates for Just For Men regular hair dye and Just For Men Touch of Gray.

Hey, Did anyone observe that Monster Bashing is higher when compared to admitting that it is the best in the market?
