There are several heavyweight jobs and career domain names up for auction right now at Sedo, the global marketplace for buying and selling domain names and websites.
The auction began June 3 and ends on the 10th. Right now Resumes.com is at the top of the list with a bid price of $9100, but bids are also driving up the prices of MyCareer.com and HumanResources.com. Here are a few up for grabs:
The reserve for Resumes.com, which hasn’t been met yet, appears to be from 500K to 999,999K. MyCareer.com has a smaller reserve, between 100-249,000K. HumanResources.com has the highest reserve of 1,500,000-1,999,999.
All three come with domain names only, and no content.

the only reason a domain name humanresources.com should be in an auction like this is if the owner can say they have contacted at least 30 companies who could benefit from owning a name like this. I wonder if this is the case.

Very interesting article about job domains – my favourite from a german point of view is azubis.de and I am really surprised about just 1000 Euro as a prize of it…

If you are looking for Career-Related Domain names you will find a better portfolio than Sedo’s on JobHill.com. JobHill.com has more and mostly higher quality names with a few exceptions.

I used to handle domain name acquisitions from third parties for many clients of COWAN LIEBOWITZ & LATMAN. My advice to all of you HR people out there – register your domain name using all the general Top Level Domain Names extensions (.com, .net, .org, .us, .biz, and .info) and pick the most valuable country code Top Level Domain Names (.cn, .eu, .uk, .jp, .asia, etc.) to protect your brand.
Resumes.com might make someone rich soon. Don’t forgot that registering Resume for the other extensions mean some money, too.

Job Domain names are on inetbrokerage.com TalkRadioJobs.com is a nice job domain. Real estate domain names are also a good investment if it contains pure language and not too long.
