Word on the street is that investors have pulled the plug on Fresho, a free online job posting directory that launched in the U.S. in January 2008.
The company apparently just went through some heavy downsizing, which was confirmed by former employee Zigmars Rudzitis, who had this to say:
At this point I am not entirely sure about the future of the company as I have not been informed about the latest managerial decisions regarding the operations. Two weeks ago my paths with Fresho.com separated due to downsizing within the company, thus I do not know if there are any plans from the management side to try to keep on going with the site or not.
Emails to other reps and to the CEO, Gatis Vitols, were not returned.
The Fresho Twitter account was still active as of June 5th, and at least for the time being, so is their job board.
According to their ‘about’ page, Fresho recently underwent a business model makeover to become an all-in-one job board, job aggregator, and search engine. They tout partnerships with TheLadders, JobCircle, Jobs.com, and Beyond as one of their newest strategies “to reach the aim of visitors’ ultimate satisfaction.”
