LinkUp has released a new Facebook application that allows companies to effectively leverage the power of the social networking site in its recruiting strategies.
The app, dubbed “Current Jobs At Our Company,” allows companies to publish jobs from their corporate Web site to their company’s wall on Facebook. The app is easy to install, and because it works automatically, requires no additional work, as the job listings on Facebook are updated to reflect any changes to the jobs on the company’s own Web site.
There are two versions of the app. The free version allows companies to have five of their total job listings added to their profile each day; has all links return to LinkUp.com to display jobs; and places a box on your Facebook wall to display your organization’s jobs.
The premium version, which costs $39 per month, allows companies to have all of their job listings added to their profile each day; receive access to the narrow and wide page boxes and have a job tab with no LinkUp ads; and direct all links to your Web site, in turn helping you track how many users come from your Facebook profile page.
The app makes it easy for job seekers to find open positions by adding a “Jobs” tab to the top of the company’s Facebook page. When a candidate clicks on a job listing posted on Facebook, they are then taken to the same job listing on the company’s Web site.
According to recent Comscore data, LinkUp is the fastest-growing job search engine on the Web. The site only indexes jobs found exclusively on company Web sites, eliminating scam ads and duplicate listings. LinkUp currently indexes more than 21,000 company Web sites and contains about 392,436 jobs. The company also has options that allow companies to run paid search campaigns on their job listings and pay for candidate traffic to their company Web site on a per-click basis.

While i like the concept I did a trafic search and they are only getting 147K visitors to the site. Considering all the jobs up there I don’t like the ratio compared to the big guys.

Howard – I am not sure what ratio you are referring to, but if it’s visitors to jobs, I’d be curious how that’s a detriment and for whom. We are indexing jobs only from company websites (rather than from other job boards like the other two job search engines), so our jobs are always current, often unadvertised, and never fake. LinkUp currently indexes over 21,000 companies throughout the U.S. and the site averaged roughly 400,000 job listings each day in July. As well, we have no duplicate listings on LinkUp because we only index jobs from a single source – the employer’s career portal on their company website.
In terms of traffic, we are the fastest growing job search engine on the web according to Comscore data from June, and are setting traffic records every month. While our traffic is smaller than the largest job boards and the other two job search engines, the site has received incredibly favorable reviews from all over the web. The word-of-mouth referrals we’re receiving, combined with very strong repeat visit statistics and excellent feedback from employers (who are benefiting from both paid and organic search traffic), gives us assurance that we are delivering a terrific service for both employers and job seekers alike.
