    Joel,
    I saw this on CNBC and was going to send it to cheezhead so I’m glad you saw it and posted it. Here’s my take:
    Yes, optimism is still up but does that indicate that the abundance of good news about the economy means we are fast climbing out of this recession? A ten point decline (from 6 months ago) in small business owner confidence thinking the economy would be better by now is a pretty steep drop. Since small businesses aren’t ready to commit money for hiring means to me that small business unemployment isn’t going to get much lower than 9.1%. The impact, I think, could mean that small job boards already struggling to stay in business will get hit especially hard.
